The West Fife Community Support Service Project was set up in January 2002 to provide a service that would enable adults with various disabilities who attended Woodlands Day Centre, to access and sustain employment.

Woodlands Day Centre closed in August 02 and all clients are now based in community/leisure centres throughout West Fife. Their name changed to West Fife Community Support Service, and the project got underway.

There are 2 Disability Employment Co-ordinators assigned to the project - Jodie Louden and Claire Fraser. They help and support any client of WFCSS to access and sustain employment - providing them with a high level of care before entering and during employment.

Since the project started, Jodie and Claire have worked with over 90 people who receive a service from WFCSS. There are currently 33 clients in paid employment, 32 on a work placement or voluntary work, and a further 8 clients have recently shown an interest in the project.
