St Clair: Developing Skills
Our approach to this is that many of the skills we require in our daily lives are developed and enhanced as we go about and participate in the activities that interest us.
By working in a person centred way, we can help individuals identify the things that are important to them.
Often the activity itself supports a number of skills, such as getting on with people, communication, sharing, safety concerns etc. which can be encouraged and supported whilst enjoying the chosen activity.
Sometimes specific skills are identified and can be worked on in their own right.
The St. Clair Centre aims to offer a programme of activity and support that provides a balance between meeting individual needs and aspirations.
