In the training kitchen, centre members are able to practise and learn new skills, taking into account health and safety issues. The focus is on a well balanced diet.
The groups discuss healthy eating, budgeting, food hygiene. They also go to the local shops to buy provisions and then the meal is cooked in the recently refurbished kitchen.
- Promoting Fitness
- Individuals wherever possible are encouraged to participate in physical activity ranging from the popular centre keep-fit exercise group, which is effective, light hearted and fun, to the more serious competitive sports or challenging activities such as hill walking.
