Robert Gough: Parents and Carers

Meetings

As the name suggests, our meetings are open to all Parents and Carers of Service Users who are associated with the Robert Gough Centre.

The meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month, exceptions to this being over the summer and Christmas breaks.

The Aims of the Group are

  1. To provide a forum for communication between Parents and Carers, who have a wealth of knowledge that they can share with other Parents and Carers, other professionals and other interested agencies.
  2. To create an open and honest partnership between the Robert Gough Centre and Parents and Carers.
  3. To listen to Parents and Carers issues and concerns and to access the relevant information so that they can move forward either as a group or as an individual for the benefit of the Service Users.
  4. To continue to promote the inclusion of our Service Users through a positive and determined approach.

Should you wish further contact about this group, please do not hesitate to make contact with:

Newsletter

The Newsletter is compiled within the Robert Gough Centre and is sent out to all Parents and Carers on a monthly basis.

The information consists of a wide variety of topics such as Centre’s sporting achievements, project and community information, feedback from Centre groups and activities, fundraising efforts, lost and found property, information about new Staff starting, which Staff have recently left, dates of forthcoming public holidays and most importantly, the date of the next Christmas Dinner Dance.

Encouragement is given to Parents and Carers to also contribute their points of views into the publication.

The main aim of the Newsletter is to keep everyone informed about the day to day running of the Centre as well as any other important information everyone needs to know.

Contact: Andrew Thomson.
