Fife Social Work Service - Adult Services Resources

This activity was formed after a group of Service Users had a Cinema outing one time around about Christmas.

After their initial visit, the group were sitting around with a cup of tea, chatting about the film they had recently seen and some had mentioned that they had never been to the Cinema before this occasion.

The group decided that this should be a regular event and that other Service Users should also be given the opportunity. This has proved to be very popular with everyone looking forward to the monthly visits. Prior to going, Service Users decide what films they want to see, a mini bus is hired and then they head off to the UGC in Dundee. Flexibility has been built into this activity, to be able to travel to Dunfermline is so desired.

The group is split into two sections, one for a Monday and the other for a Friday.

There is also a reserve list of Service Users who wish to go to the Cinema and take the place of a regular person should they be on holiday or off sick.
