We are the famous 5, the service users who provide a selection of tasty and healthy foodstuffs and drinks for our Centre Snack Bar. With support from staff we organise local shopping trips and consult other users on items they would like us to buy or try. We do our best to oblige and can usually provide the goods. We take turns to stock up the shelves, fill up the coffee and tea and keep the fridges and shelves clean.

We meet together regularly to check the stock and decide what items we can put on special offer. These offers are always very welcomed by others. We also discuss how we can develop the service and have promoted the groupís work by holding special taster days. To date we have had ìa taste of China, Scotland, Italy and Germanyî. These taster days have been very much enjoyed by both service users and staff and we plan to hold more of these throughout the year.

The profits raised from the Snack Bar are invested into the service users funds and this money helps to purchase a range of items or fund resources that users request. The Snack Bar contributions also help pay towards the fun days and festivities that are held during the year.

The group endeavour to do a good job in offering a range of food and drink at low cost. We are always open to new ideas and suggestions and welcome any comments that may improve the service.
