Personal Care Facilities
The Restroom/Care suite is a dual function room specially modified to allow both areas in the room to be accessed at the same time by different people ensuring privacy at all times. There is a variety of equipment available in these areas to support individual needs.
If a Centre member requires physical assistance then Centre staff will work with physiotherapists and other agencies to ensure needs are met in accordance with the care plan. To assist with this, the Centre has a range of equipment including hoists with slings of varying sizes, handling belts, sliding sheets, and transfer boards.
The Care Suite is a fully accessible for wheelchair users and has equipment which is adaptable to meet individual personal care needs. It has a range of equipment to assist with moving and handling needs and has a wet floor shower area.
Behind the Care Suite is a private area where an adjustable bed is situated. This rest area can be used for passive exercises, personal care needs or for periods of rest.
The Centre has toilet facilities for males and females. Both are accessible for wheelchairs and have a tracking hoist.
