Sports at St Clair
The St. Clair Centre participates in a wide range of sports and games activities. Included in these are:
- Athletics
- Swimming
- Carpet & Lawn Bowls
- Ten Pin Bowling
- Golf Practise
A Fife Sports Week is held annually where our members are involved in the following competitions:
- Five-a-side football
- Unihoc
- Darts & Pool
An annual sports day is also held for day centres at Fife Sports Institute in Glenrothes where St. Clair have participants in the following events:
- Running
- Jumping
- Walking
- Shot Putt & Soft Ball
- Football
These events are graded according to ability, to enable all competitors an equal opportunity of success. Winners of these events are selected to represent Fife in the Annual Scottish Championships.
Special Olympic events are held every three or four years in which some members may be selected to take part in.
Swimming and bowling sections also participate in graded events within Fife, with the winners being selected for the Scottish Championships.
A Ten Pin Bowling League is held weekly at the Fraser Bowl in Glenrothes.
Our Golf Section use the Wellsgreen Practice Range on a Friday morning.
The Centre Sports Section use Fife Institute weekly for training sessions and our swimmers use Kirkcaldy Swimming Pool weekly.
