… a chance to shine

The Personal Expression element has been developed to offer a wide range of positive experiences in activities and pursuits that people can really enjoy.

With a committed staff team and a wide network of activities we can help individuals grow and gain confidence in the areas that are important to them.

The staff group in Personal Expression offer a broad range of skills and interests to the activities they offer. The Personal Expression team has gained training in a variety of areas including sports, art, computers, multi-media, aromatherapy, and outdoor pursuits.

Personal Expression will also support you in gaining access to activities with other organisations. We will share provisions with others and will not always take the lead. This way we can offer a wide range of experiences and opportunities in community venues. We are always on the lookout for new ideas and projects.

You don’t need to be good at something to give it a try. Every level of expertise and ability will be supported in the chosen activity.

Any activity will be considered – as long as it’s safe! Groups and individuals can make an application to start a new activity. You may have to wait a while, but ask anyway.

An agreement will be established between both parties before the group begins. The contract will be time limited and frequently reviewed. With negotiation, this commitment could be changed if the activity is not enjoyed or was not as expected.

Its all about realising potential and feeling good about yourself, building confidence, valuing people as individuals and giving people the independence they need to live the life they want to lead.

Inspiration, Motivation, Encouragement……
