Art With a Passion

Art with a Passion was set up by staff from Services across Fife as a forum for sharing ideas and offering mutual support to improve the quality of our work and developing new art opportunities for the service. We have the chance to network and exchange ideas, take time to look at different art techniques and discuss good practice. So far our main aim has been to widen the creative opportunities for people who are passionate about art, but who haven’t had equal opportunities to exhibit and sell work.

  • Since AWAP was set up we have had at least one annual exhibition. These have included exhibitions at Rothes Halls, Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy Museum and Art Gallery.
  • An inclusive selection panel was put together for one of our exhibitions. The panel was made up from artists and support workers from Angus Council as well as a local artist and an art curator.
  • The service users and support staff have been part of an externally evaluated project call Art Steps.
  • AWAP have initiated training and attended a specific art course for staff.
